Dear Parents, Students, and Well-wishers,
It is with immense pride and gratitude that I welcome you to Zion Schools. Our journey began on Monday, 18th September 2005, when Zion Nursery & Primary School opened its doors with just five pupils and two teachers. We started in a modest rented apartment, facing numerous challenges including limited funds, registration hurdles with the Ministry of Education, and attracting our first students.
I vividly remember one of our earliest prospective parents who visited our humble facility. After glancing around our simple classrooms, she muttered "I will come back later" and never returned. This was just one of dozens of similar experiences in those early days. But we had a clear vision and unwavering determination.
Our vision then, as now, was to professionally transform the academically weakest child into the strongest, and the dullest brain into the sharpest. We were committed to initiating and promoting an academic culture that could not be called into question.
Through unquenchable zeal, determination, dexterity, diligence and discipline, the Lord has helped Zion Schools achieve all these goals and much more. Today, we have decent, well-structured, beautiful and learning-friendly environments and classrooms.
In September 2012, we expanded our educational mission by founding Zion Progressive College, our secondary school section. Located at Ilero Quarters, off NTA, Ado Ekiti, the college is fully accredited by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and recognized by the National Examinations Council (NECO). Year after year, our students graduate with excellent results, establishing Zion Progressive College as a shining light and beacon of hope in secondary education.
Both our primary and secondary schools boast an impressive array of qualified, diligent and proficient teachers. It is therefore not surprising that Zion Schools have won many academic laurels while our alumni are excelling in their various fields of endeavor.
The future of Zion Schools is as bright as a cloudless sunny sky. With our academic track record, we constantly reposition our schools for more academic achievements in the years ahead. We will continue to prioritize teaching and learning, instill moral discipline in our pupils, and recruit, retain, train, retrain and motivate the best possible staff.
We will continue to formulate policies that make Zion Schools primus inter pares (first among equals). Indeed, we will continue to produce academically sound and morally upright pupils and students that will make Zion Schools the destination for everyone seeking untainted rigorous academic training and unquestionable moral upbringing.
With our 'home away from home' and well-maintained boarding section, pupils and students experience a decent 'full school life'. Your own ward could join us today and become part of our sustained success story.
